Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (LIZ) PRUDHOMME (nee KULBABA) In the early morning of July 30, 2011, after a courageous and short battle with cancer Liz passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Left to lovingly cherish Liz's memory forever are her husband of 45 years Marcel, daughter Shannon, son-in-law Brent and grandchildren Tayler and Michael. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and leaves to mourn her brother-in-law Andy (Joan) and their family, the Kulbaba family; the Gard family, special cousin Audrey (Norm) and many dear friends including neighbours on the cove and at the lake. She was predeceased by her father Mike, mother Anne, lifelong friend Lois and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Liz was born on August 17, 1941 in Brokenhead, MB. She spent her childhood in West Kildonan where she met her lifelong friend Lois, a friendship that is now in its third generation. Liz worked at many, many places but it was at MTS that she met the love of her life Marcel. They married in 1966 and built their life in Southdale and at Tall Timber. She stayed home to raise the family and when she re-entered the workforce she joined CIBC as a teller where she eventually retired from the St. Vital Branch. Liz loved to be at the cottage looking after the yard, her flowers, fishing and spending the summers with her grandson Tayler. Nanny was the most fun anyone child could be with and never said no to an adventure trampoline, water slides, tubing and even bmx-ing. Tayler was Nanny's pride and joy. They spent time together doing everything from shopping, playing cards, watching movies to just hanging out. Tayler will always have a special place in his heart for his Nanny and all that she taught him. He will miss her enormously. Liz also looked forward to her visits with her grandson Michael and always made the most of the time they had together. She will be sadly missed by her little chicken farmer. Many times were spent enjoying trips with family and friends and great memories were made with each journey. Liz always had a warm smile and welcoming hug at any time of the day. She enjoyed visits with family and friends wherever she was. In her honour, please give your loved ones an extra hug today. The family wishes to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to Audrey for all the support and help she provided over these past months. The family also wants to thank Dr. C. Matthews and the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface hospital for the kind, compassionate care she received during her illness. In keeping with Liz's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial reception celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, August 4, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, in Liz's memory please consider making a donation to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit, D1003 409 Taché, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. We will miss all of the family gatherings that she so lovingly put together. She will remain alive in the hearts of all those that loved her. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
