RYAN LINDSAY ROBERTSON May 18, 1971 - July 28, 2011 Our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend peacefully passed away on July 28, 2011. Ryan grew up in Charleswood where he developed many lifelong friendships. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, particularly his time at Lake of Two Mountains. He participated in many sports, from hockey and waterskiing, to running and hot yoga. As an adult, Ryan left Winnipeg and headed west where he lived the life of the west coast kid . He spent a number of years in both Alberta and British Columbia. As always, Ryan's magnetic personality allowed him to cultivate many new friendships which he held dear to him even when he moved back home. We were lucky enough to have Ryan back in Winnipeg where he reconnected with his family and friends. He took this opportunity to actively participate in the lives of his nephew Riley, and nieces Carlee, Emma, Grace and Abbey. Once again he re-established himself, this time as a successful realtor. Ryan was active in the community and helped many people through his work with Alcoholics Anonymous. Although he was taken from us all too soon, his infectious smile, sparkling brown eyes and youthful exuberance will be in our hearts for ever more. We are grateful for every moment that we had with Ryan. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted on behalf of the Robertson family at the Addictions Foundations of Manitoba, 1031 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3G 0R8. There will be a celebration of the life of Ryan Robertson on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Charleswood United Church commencing at 11:00 a.m. "God's finger touched him, and he slept." - Alfred, Lord Tennyson

  • It is with a heavy heart that I write these words. I am so deeply saddened. I know there are no words to comfort at this time but the heart will heal a little and it will get easier to talk and smile about all the memories held close to our hearts. You have my most sincere and deepest condolences. I will miss Ryan's brilliant smile and boyish charm. He was taken far too soon from all that love him. His struggle is over and he is in God's hands now. We miss you and will never forget you Ryan. - Posted by: Janet Payne (Friend) on: Aug 03, 2011
