Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAROLINE ALICE BRIGHT 1913 2011 On August 17, 2011 our beloved mother, Caroline (affectionately known to all as Kay) reunited with her husband, Oliver (1914 - 1985). She is survived by her five children, Carman, Ray, Sharon, Eileen, Kerry and their spouses; her nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and her two brothers, Chris and Morley Sutter. The eldest of six children Kay was raised in Redvers, SK. Kay loved sports and during her high school years was active in basketball and baseball. On graduation from high school in 1933 her interests took her to teachers training in Moose Jaw, SK. She then taught school in Saskatchewan until her marriage to William Oliver Bright of Sinclair, MB in 1938. Kay and Oliver farmed in Sinclair from 1938 to 1975. Kay was active in the Sinclair United Church for many years where she played the organ and sang. Kay and Oliver sold the farm in the fall of 1975 and moved to Brandon in the spring of 1976. Following Oliver's death in 1985 she resided in Brandon. In 1994 she moved to Minnedosa to be closer to her son, Ray, and daughter-in-law, Darlene. In 2004 Kay became a resident in the Minnedosa Personal Care Home. Kay will be remembered for her gentility and as a hard working farmer and mother. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for all the kindness and care received by Kay during her stay at the Minnedosa Personal Care Home. Funeral Service will be held at the Minnedosa United Church on Monday, August 22 at 2:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery.
