ARTHUR JOHN RADSTROM January 11, 1943 - August 27, 2011 After a long and courageous battle with cancer, John passed away peacefully. John's wife Pat, his daughter Toshya (Clayton and son Brett), grandson Devin, son Ethan (Alix) and son Bjorn (Susan) were with him almost constantly during the last two weeks of his life at Riverview. John will be remembered as a loving husband, father, Dido, brother, uncle, son and friend by so many people. His time at Riverview was filled with a constant stream of visitors, and this was a testament to how much he was loved. Throughout his sickness, he never complained or bemoaned his fate, and his concern was always for his family. John's loving demeanour and warm personality are the greatest legacy he could have possibly left. He set an amazing example for everyone who met him; he truly set the standard. John spent 37 years as a teacher in the Winnipeg School Division, and will be greatly missed by his fellow teachers and former students. He was predeceased by his father Gust Radstrom, his brother Larry, his sister Elaine Vermette, his father-in-law Victor Signatovich, his sister-in-law Nancy Staszkiewicz and his brother-in-law Arne Hermanson. They greeted him at heaven's door. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverwood Church Community (257 Riverton Avenue between Brazier and Stadacona). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Riverview Foundation. Complete life story and online condolences at bardal.ca Funeral Home and Crematorium 774-7474
