PETER POTOSKI 1936 - 2011 On Saturday, September 3, 2011 Peter Potoski aged 75 years of Arborg, MB passed away at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Peter is survived by his brothers and sisters Mary Leshyshen, Nellie Bartecki, Pearl Parada, Josie Isfjord (Norman), Kay Bergman (Baulder), Eva Luksic, Harry Potoski, Mike Potoski, Victor Potoski (Donna), Sammy Potoski (Lois), sister-in-law Kay Potoski and his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; Andrew and Anne, brothers and sisters; Steve Potoski, Rosie Furgala (Kasper), Dora Kuslak (Mike), Jean Isfjord (Marven), Billy Potoski and brothers and sisters-in-law; Andrew Leshyshen, Walter Bartecki, Frank Luksic, Mike Parada and Bernice Potoski. Peter was born on March 15, 1936 on the family farm in Hnausa. He worked as a carpenter in his younger years and in later years took over the family farm. During the winters he worked as a carpenter in the north on construction sites. Due to ill health he retired from farming, moved to Arborg and later to Sun Rise Lodge. One of his hobbies was gardening and he received great enjoyment growing his large prize tomatoes. His regular Sunday family visits will be greatly missed. Peter enjoyed playing VLT's and meeting his friends daily for coffee at Chicken Chef where they would get into good conversations on certain topics. If the conversation was really good, he would raise his voice to the next level, where we all could hear him. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Arborg. Rev. Fr. Harry Chuckry will officiate. Interment will follow at Jaraslaw Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jaraslaw Cemetery. MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Arborg in care of arrangements. 467-2525
