  • Gerry Nugent is my father even though not biologically he and mom were the ones who raised me and taught me right from wrong. I believe you don't have to be blood in order to be loved as blood. I am so blessed to have had Gerry as my dad even though he didn't have to be he was. They say things happen for a reason well, Gerry was meant to be my dad he was put here for many reasons besides being a father figure he was also a husband, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle and friend he impacted and changed many different lives and he left a mark. I have a story to share. My mom and I were having a argument and I was sent to my room I must have been about 11 or 12 years old I am 22 now and mom said "Gerry go and talk to your daughter" Dad replied "Which one" And I was assuming maybe one of my other siblings but mom replied "Kristina". Coming from the background I came from to hear them call me their daughter and to consider me one of their own was the biggest gift and blessing I have ever received. I love you dad, you will remain forever a huge part of my life and a huge impact on my soul and never ever forgotten. Xoxoxox Love Kris - Posted by: Kristina West (Daughter ) on: Mar 21, 2012
