DANIEL (DANNY) ALFRED THOMPSON 1943 - 2011 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Danny on August 25, 2011, at Central Okanagan Hospice House in Kelowna, BC. Danny was predeceased by his longtime companion Lois Erickson, parents Dave and Lea Thompson; brothers: Edmond, David Roland and sister-in-law Gertrude. He is survived by stepchildren: Sharon Allred, Tracy Dagg and Bradley Erickson; brothers Allan and Marcel; sisters Madalene, Margaret, Eileen. Danny was educated at Langevin School, St. Boniface, Providence College, Otterburne, MB and graduated from Notre Dame College in Wilcox, SK. In his lifetime Danny enjoyed many careers. He was the owner of Canada West General Tractors and of Bonded Roofing in Calgary, AB. He ended his working career with a successful Dickie Dee Franchise in Kelowna, BC. The family would like to thank the staff of Central Okanagan Hospice House in Kelowna for their excellent care and compassion. A service celebrating Danny's life will take place on Saturday, October 15, at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Boniface Cemetery.
