Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD RATTAI April 6, 1919 November 12, 2011 Ed Rattai passed away peacefully in his 93rd year at Pinecrest Home. Ed was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2006. He is survived by his four children Marge Schatkowsky, George, Len and Earle Rattai along with numerous grandchildren. Ed was born and raised on a farm just north of Beausejour MB where he later wed Mary Goshulak in 1938. They were married over 68 years. Ed was a career mechanic and businessman owning several garages, retiring from business in 1981. Ed was an ardent hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman who also spent a lot of time with family, friends and customers over the years. He was a member of Bethesda and later Good Shepherd Lutheran Churches in Kenora since 1956. Burial will take place at Lake of the Woods Cemetery with a Memorial service at Alcock Funeral Home on November 18 at 1:00 p.m. Alcock Funeral Home Cremation Services (Hwy 17 West, Keewatin Ontario) in care of arrangements: 807-547-6000.
