LORNA JEAN THOMSON 1921 - 2011 It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jean Thomson who passed away quietly in her sleep on November 22nd in Victoria, BC. Jean was born in Newdale, MB. She worked in Winnipeg for the Bank of Commerce before marrying Daun Thomson from Newdale. They moved to Ontario, where Daun was posted during the war, and then spent most of their life on Hudson Street in Fort Garry, before retiring to Victoria, BC. Jean curled at the Pembina Curling Club and enjoyed her time with the Fort Garry Rotary Club and her bridge group. She is survived by her son, Brien, granddaughters, Andrea and Amber, great-grandsons, Connor and James, her sisters Dorie Dalton (Paul), Marjorie Robson (Richard) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Daun, her daughter, Linda and her parents, Fred and Elva Mein. Jean will be missed very much by her family and friends.
