BERNICE POST August 13, 1921 - November 28, 2010 Our Mother Kept A Garden Our mother kept a garden. A garden of the heart; She planted all the good things, That gave our lives a start. She turned us to the sunshine, And encouraged us to dream. Fostering and nurturing, The seed of self esteem. And when the winds and rains came, She protected us enough; But not to much, she knew we would need, To stand up strong and tough. Her constant good example, Always taught us right from wrong; Markers for our pathway, To last our whole life long. We are our Mother's garden, We are her legacy, And we hope today she feels the love, Reflected back from us. Love and miss you Mom. - Sending hugs and all our love, Your Kids. BERNICE POST The Best Grandma and Great-Grandma In our Rose Garden of memories, We see you standing there, An angel in disguise, Who taught us how to care. We long to hear your voice, For real, not in our dreams, We are missing you so much these days, How empty our world seems. People say time heals all wounds, That someday the pain will subside, But Grandma, we can tell you, We think they must have lied. When God looked around His garden, And found an empty place, He then looked down upon his earth, And saw our Grandma's face. He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest, His garden must be beautiful, Because He only takes the best. So in our Rose Garden of memories, We know you'll always be, For though you're gone from this mortal world, In our hearts you'll always be.
