WILBERT WINSTON ROBERTS November 15, 1939 - November 27, 2011 On Sunday, November 27, 2011 Winston passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 72, with his wife by his side. Winston, as he was better known to all, was born in Georgetown, Guyana on November 15, 1939. He moved to Canada in 1973 and worked at Versatile for 29 years. He is predeceased by his father Eustace, mother Elma, brothers Eustace, Kenneth, and sister Carmen. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Gloria, daughter Faye, sons David, Paul (Melaine), Mark, Andrew, Randy, grandchildren Chaymaine, Mamimus, Ez, Kimberly, Yeamo, Maikita and Troy, brothers Morris (Donna) and children, and Godfrey, sisters Joyce, Ingrid, Paula (Houston), sisters-in-law Lurline, Marva, nieces and nephews Margaret (Joseph), Guyana, Godfrey Jr., USA, Patricia, Melinda, U.K., Amber (Gerald), Elma, Canada, Mitchellene, France, Dowen, French Guiana, Elsworth, Kayanda, Guyana, and Aunt Jean Grumble, Guyana. The family wishes to thank Dr. Yip, Dr. Wong, Dr. Kowlak, Dr. P. Chochinov, the nurses at CancerCare Research Manitoba, Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital, and his many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CancerCare Research Manitoba. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Winston's life will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. West at 1:00 p.m. with reception to follow.
