INGOLD J. O. THOMASCHEWSKY Peacefully, after a lengthy illness due to a stroke, Ingold passed away December 4, 2011, at the age of 81. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Erika, his partner of almost 50 years; daughter Renate (Ken Dobson) and son Gordon; grandchildren, Stephen and Katy. Ingold was born August 6, 1930, in Berlin, Germany. As a skilled tailor, we all benefited from his craftsmanship. Immigrating to Canada in 1956, he started his career with Varta Batteries. Opa loved the outdoors joining his children and grandchildren in many camping adventures. He enjoyed jazz and classical music, reading, and philosophy. Ingold was a wise, caring, calm presence in our lives, keeping his sense of humour even in tough times. Thank you to 3 South Grace Hospital staff for their kindness and care given to our papa. A private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.

My condolences to all Sadly to we never meet as grownups. last time i saw Ingold Erika Renate and Gordon was during the service held for our father who past away to early, I was 10 year old. Now I am 52 years old and my two brother Werner and Ingold are gone.
