GLADYS FLORENCE TIMMERMAN (OPENSHAW) (nee MAZOLLECK) April 26, 1921 December 7, 2011 Quickly taken to heaven to be with her beloved Savior and predeceased family and friends. Always busy looking after her husband Jaring, crafting or socializing with her many friends, Gladys found it difficult to adjust to her stroke three years ago. She had a quick wit though and a lovely smile. We never knew what she was going to say next, bringing joy and laughter to those around her. The Salvation Army church was a very important part of Gladys' life. Many thanks to the caregivers at Golden West Lodge who made her last years pleasant and gave her care with love. Left with many good memories are beloved husband Jaring; children Barbara, Judy, Donna, Donald and Bruce and all the members of their families; her friends at Westhaven and The Salvation Army. Survived by her sister Joyce. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bill; her son Wayne; and her siblings Kay, Al, Ren, Lily and an infant brother. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 11, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Golden West Lodge, 811 School Road. In lieu of flowers, please give to Golden West Centennial Lodge or a children's charity of your choice. Farewell gentle soul, and look for what comes next.
