CYNTHIA POPE On Monday, December 5, 2011, Cynthia Pope of Winnipeg, died at Golden West Centennial Lodge at the age of 89 years. Left to forever cherish Cynthia's memory are many nieces and nephews. Donna especially will always remember her as her favourite Aunty Cynth. Cynthia was born September 28, 1922 in Calgary, Alberta. She was one of six children born to Victor and May Pope. Eaton's was a huge part of Cynthia's life as she was a loyal employee for many years. In addition to her Eaton's career, she spent her time helping others by babysitting, knitting, sewing pajamas, baking, and providing care for ailing relatives. Cynthia was very proud of her family. On Monday, December 12, 2011, Cynthia's Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Golden West Centennial Lodge Chapel, 811 School Road. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of the fourth floor at Golden West Centennial Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cynthia's memory may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. Aunty Cynth will be sadly missed and will be remembered forever in our hearts.
