GARY WAYNE DAGG It is with great sadness and despair that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father Gary Wayne Dagg on December 20, 2011. Wayne leaves behind his wife Isabel, five children and 11 grandchildren: Angie, Cal, Colton, Brady and Liam; Jackie, Ward, Hayden, Evan and Oliver; Jamie, Nicole and Joey; Sara, Jay, Ethan and Isabella, and Robyn, Luke, Landon and Levi. He is also survived by his brothers Les (Heidi) and Charles (Nancy), his sisters Sandra and Diane (Anne). Wayne was born October 15, 1941 and grew up in South Side Transcona, he always tried to attend South Side breakfasts. Wayne served in the Canadian Navy for three years, Canadian National Railways for 25 years and retired as a Conductor for VIA Rail after 10 years of service. During the early years of his retirement Wayne also worked as a Commissionaire and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Wayne's greatest accomplishment was the building of his beautiful retirement home in Pelican Harbour. Wayne is now at rest and content with his third child Joseph, his mother Jean and father Roy. Wayne was deeply cherished by his grandchildren especially, unbeknownst to them, at Christmas time when he was Santa. Celebration of Wayne's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. West. Dad, you have made us who we are today and we know you were proud of us. We will forever cherish you for the gift of love that you have given to us. You were always in our lives and will be in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to CancerCare. Funeral Arrangements In Care Of WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVE. • After working with Wayne for many years on the railway it was my great fortune to discover that Wayne and Isabel were our new neighbors at the lake. Without Wayne's interest to keep an eye on the building of our home at Pelican Harbor I don't know how we would have managed. I will miss Wayne dearly and remember him always for he was a mentor in helping Susan and me to settle into our new lake life-style. We are so sorry to hear of his passing and so sorry we are not able to attend the celebration of his life. Our thoughts are with Isabel and the rest of the family. Rest in Peace, Wayne. - Posted by: Barry Lidstone (Friend and Neighbor) on: Dec 23, 2011
