Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN LILLIAN DRAPER 1939 - 2011 We are saddened to announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Joan on December 10, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Joan was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Bob in 2003. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Cindy (Wade); grand-children, Samantha and Mackenzie; her son Greg and family; and her very special puppy Buddy'. Joan worked at Eaton's and Drake Personnel prior to her retirement. Her fondest memories were of her retirement at the cabin in Sandy Hook, MB where she spent many days on the golf course, where she loved' to be. Prior to Bob's passing, they spent winters in Pine to Palm Resort Park, Weslaco, TX, where she kept very active shuffling and spending time with friends. A special thank you to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital ICU's, as well as to Jason and Lyle for remaining faithful visitors right until the end. As per Joan's request, cremation has taken place, and a private gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. So sorry Cindy & Greg for the loss of your beloved mother. She was my mother-in-law many years ago and also the Grand Mother of my daughter Heather. My daughter, Joan's Granddaughter passed away 12-4-12 at the age of 32. I tried to look up a number to call Joan but this is what came up when I tried to find her. I am truly sorry. Cindy and Family Sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother. I know, you have been a big part of her life these past few years. Your Mom hired me my first job at Eaton's.
