Date of Passing: Dec 24, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARLENE DOMENCO 1952 - 2011 On December 24, 2011, Marlene was finally able to rest. With courage and strength she endured her illness that ultimately defined the last three years of her life. Marlene resided in Gonor, Manitoba all of her 59 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her only daughter Tanya (Randy) Chaye; grand-daughters, Morgan and Rachel; and brother Wayne (Mary) Domenco. She was predeceased by her parents, Eva and Edward Domenco. Marlene achieved her LPN in 1975. Nursing was her career, caring for the elderly was her passion. She had been employed most of her nursing career in various Personal Care Homes throughout Winnipeg. Marlene continued to work up until 2008 when at that time her health did not enable her to continue. Marlene took this new found time to spend with Morgan and Rachel. She was so proud of them and beamed with every milestone they achieved. Her absence will be felt by many extended family and friends. Gloria and Gail, you are her angels. Thank you for being there for her when she needed you most. Thank you to the Peritoneal Dialysis Team at Seven Oaks General Hospital, you have become family, Thank you. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 29 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Pastor Scott Koop officiating. Mom, you were so tired, it's time for you to rest. We love you. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba or Diabetes Research. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
