LOUISE DE CLERCQ In the early hours of Thursday, January 5, 2012 Mom gently drew her last breath on this earth, to be welcomed home by her friends and family who passed before her. She will be greatly missed by her partner of 45 years, Bill, her children Eileen (Bryan) and Ron (Shirley); her grandchildren: David (Trisha), Geoff (Michelle), Jennifer, Bonnie (Tom), Damien (Sue); her great-grandchildren: Myrrhanda (Jensen), Gary (Raeann), Kristina, Ashley, Jasmine, Nadia, Rhiannon, Tyson and Riley. Louise struggled to remain among us but, knew and accepted this parting not as an end, but as a beginning of a new journey. It is because of Mom our own small world will never be the same and all our hearts are filled when we speak her name. But, though her faith may not be seen among us these days, her love is felt in all the hearts she changed along the way. She died as she lived, with dignity and pride even in her last days, always thinking of others needs ahead of her own. In accordance with Louise's wishes cremation has taken place. We extend an invitation to a memorial service celebrating her life on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street with a reception to follow at the Belgian Club, 407 Provencher Boulevard. The family would like to express our appreciation for the tremendous compassion shown by the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, Unit 7A South. If friends and family so desire donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Louise was a "one of a kind" neighbour. Her garden was to be marvelled and her spirit unmatched. I loved the time I spent chatting with her over the fence and serving her pina coladas. I will miss her deeply. God Bless her family and friends whom she loved so much. - Posted by: Shawna Peterson (Neighbour) on: Jan 10, 2012
