Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON NORMAN KLAYH September 28, 1931 - January 20, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Gordon Norman Klayh on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Concordia Hospital. Gord was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and August; brother Walter and sister Marjorie Rudy. He is survived by his loving wife Mona; daughter Kimberley (Ken) Daeninck; son Kevin (Brenda); and grand-children, Cameron and Erika Klayh. Gord was an active member of his community serving as a hockey and soccer coach, president of East Elmwood Community Centre and Treasurer of River East Minor Hockey Association. Gord was an active fit man, he ran the Manitoba Marathon, spent hours in the gym, played senior hockey, swam, skied both water and cross country, roller bladed and loved to golf and spent many an hour perfecting his game or at least having fun on the course. His other love, besides his family, was gardening. He spent hours in his many flower beds at his cottage, spending much of the summer tending them. After retirement, the winter months were spent down south until health decreed otherwise. As per Gord's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service, leaving friends and family to remember him in their own way and in their own time. If anyone wishes to make a donation in Gord's memory, please do so to the Parkinson's Society of Manitoba. Rest well my love, Dad, Grandpa, you will be missed, forever remembered and cherished. My thoughts of Uncle Gordon are always highlighted with memories of his smile and laughter. The times he took me waterskiing at his cottage, or the times we went fishing at Crow-duck Lake, and the last time I saw him when he visited us in B.C. His smile and laughter will always be in my happy memories. - Posted by: Bruce Rudy (Nephew) on: Feb 01, 2012
