MADZIA (MIRIAM) RAIZMAN The funeral for Madzia (Miriam) Raizman, who passed away peacefully on January 31, 2012 will be held at 3:00 p.m. on February 2. Graveside service at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery, Main and Armstrong, Area 3, Section J. A meal of condolence to follow at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, 561 Wellington Cr. Private Shiva. Donations may be made to The Holocaust Education Center or the League for Human Rights B'nai Brith Canada.

  • Dear Jack & family: Your parents, Moe & Miriam lived in the upstairs apt. at 256 Inkster Blvd., where I lived with my parents and the first home you were brought to after you were born - and there was great rejoicing at that time. I was a child then and I positively adored your parents as did my parents, Ruth & Israel Silverman. We learned to adore you in the short time before you and your parents moved into a larger apt., but still kept in touch because Moe (your father) was our marvelous furrier - a coat, jacket & stole for my mother, a stole for my sister and a coat and jacket for me - and your father outdid himself. Your parents were greatly respected by all our friends and they shared Sabbath dinners and Kiddush on Yom Kippur with us many times (the latter before joining their friends). My deepest sympathies are with you at this time and I wish you and your family a peaceful, healthy, prosperous and joyous year free of further sadness.
