KURTIS ROBERT BEACH
Date of Passing: Feb 11, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKURTIS ROBERT BEACH On February 11, 2012, our dearly loved son and brother left us suddenly. Kurtis was born on his Grandpa's 64th birthday, May 30, 1977, and the resemblance in everything to his Grandpa Bob Hill was uncanny. He was a man of many talents home renovations, auto mechanics and carpentry being some of his strongest, but what made him shine was his unconditional love of animals. Gregarious as a child, with many interests, he completed his degree in Zoology at the University of Manitoba and spent his career, first at the Humane Society, and later as a Zookeeper at Assiniboine Park Zoo. His eyes shone whenever he spoke of his charges, remembering Debbie fondly, and doting over the tiger cubs. His dogs were the focus of his home life. He was a real animal whisperer. He leaves, broken-hearted, his mother, Roberta Beach (stepfather Otto So) and brother Kevin Beach (wife Morgan) of San Antonio, TX, as well as his dogs, Cardi and Schotzi, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents and by his Dad, Dewight Beach in 2000. Viewing will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church, 500 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment to follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined if you wish, you could make a contribution to Assiniboine Park Conservancy Zoo fund in his memory. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. Words seem inadequate to express the sorrow we feel about the sudden death of Kurtis although we don't know him that well. Hopefully time would heal your anguish and pain. Even though he's gone, you still have many friends and family members who will support you in your grieving process. We are amongst one of them.
