I had the pleasure of meeting Muriel at a function held at St John's College in Winnipeg. After that meeting, we had casual visits a couple times a year and she always had such wonderful stories of her children, grandchildren and of her travels. It was very evident she had a great love for her family. I feel very honoured that our paths crossed. Muriel was truly a great lady and I enjoyed her very much. My sincere sympathy to all the family. You were so lucky to have such a wonderful mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. - Posted by: Maureen Kolodie (I met Muriel through St John's College. I retired last year.) on: Feb 21, 2012

We believe that Muriel was a gracious lady with a great big heart. She had that most uplifting & positive attitude to Life and to her God. Muriel let illness not hinder her sense of adventure and travel. She "had no time for illness". She loved her Children and Grandchildren and enriched their lives in taking them to Ireland to kiss the Blarney Stone & to New York to see Theatre/ Plays. Muriel enjoyed and treasured her neighbours. She led the St. Stephen & St. Bede Thelma Wynn Project in providing Layettes for Single Mothers and needy Families. We enjoyed every Sunday morning in which she allowed us to drive her to church, when she admitted that the weather was too difficult for her to get the car out. Muriel enjoyed her last year in her beloved Thunder Bay and her Seasonal Home on Lake Superior.(The same area to which both our Sons were born) and to which we have great memories. Be at Peace with your Lord, Muriel - Posted by: Denis & Marilyn Brown (Winnipeg Friends) on: Feb 18, 2012
