Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAVERY KENNETH MCCORMICK Peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2012, with family at his side, Ken McCormick passed away at Deer Lodge Centre, at the age of 89 years. Ken was predeceased by his parents Avery and Haldora, his wife of 54 years, Violet, his brothers Donald and Edward, and his favourite dog Casey. Ken leaves to mourn his passing, his children Alan (Rita), April, Eric, and Joan (Chris) Mayman; grandchildren Ryan, Angela, Jessica, Austin, Connor, Kaleigh, Levi, Ryan, and Michael; sisters Ruth (Robert) Henderson, Marion (Marnie) McCreedy, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends. Ken served in the army, Second World War, Italy, France and finally Holland. He was employed with Canada Packers for 45 years. Dad’s passions included volunteering with the Khartum Shrine, Ancient Land Mark, Prince of Wales Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, King Edward Preceptory, playing crib and spending time with his grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1830 Inkster Blvd. The family wish to extend special thanks to Units T6 and 2 East at Deer Lodge Centre, and everyone at Riverside Lions, for all their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ken to the charity of one’s choice.
