GEORGE KOOP After a lengthy battle with cancer, George passed away peacefully on March 11, 2012. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Robert (Susan) Koop, Donald Koop (Connie Millar), Joan (Charles) Hood, grandchildren, Mark Koop (Mari Sasaki), Heather Koop (Eric Boily), Michael (Alysa) Tennese, and his great-granddaughter Nanako Koop. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Susanna in 2005. With families blending, Dad's family grew to include more grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kelsey and Kendra Boily, Amber Chadwick (Madison, Sydney), Devin Millar, Nicholas Hood and Danielle Hood. He was predeceased by Christopher Hood in 2007. The cottage at Falcon Lake that Dad built is a lasting legacy to the family. It was his favourite place which he was able to enjoy, even this last summer. He was a kind and honourable man devoted to his family and we will miss him dearly. There were many special people in Dad's life that loved him and became part of his family. We thank all of you for being in his life. At George's request, there will be no formal service held. He will be laid to rest in the family plot with Mom at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff of the Grace Hospice for all their loving care. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Grace Hospital Foundation (Grace Hospice), 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7. This caring place provided Dad with love and dignity in his final days. We love you Dad.
