Date of Passing: Mar 15, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBODIL M. LARSEN Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the age of 85. Born in Denmark, Bodil married Martin Larsen and both immigrated to Canada and settled in Port Arthur (Thunder Bay), Ontario, in 1954. Bodil worked on the Children's ward at the Port Arthur General Hospital until retiring in the 1970s. After Martin died, Bodil moved to Winnipeg with their only child, daughter Annette in 1989. Everyone knew Bodil had a green thumb. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, especially her roses. She took pleasure in nature's beauty. Mom's other love was her dogs. She cared deeply for them and each dog loved her back tenfold. During her recent illness, Pepper was her constant companion, always by her side Bodil is survived by her daughter Annette and three siblings in Denmark. She will be missed by her friends. Her friends and neighbours have been so supportive and Mom was relieved to know that you will continue to be there for Annette. She thought so much of each of you. Special thanks go to Mom's Home Care and Palliative Care ladies and in particular, Victoria, Olga, Esther and Marites for taking care of Mom at home. It meant so much to have her home for so long. Thanks also to the ER staff, Clergy and Tamara at the Victoria Hospital. Your kindness, support, and compassion was and is greatly appreciated. In keeping with Mom's wishes a private service will be held with interment to follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Now Mom is at peace, reunited with Dad, planning their dream home, planting her rose garden and playing with her beloved pets. We'll miss you terribly Mom until we are all together again, Love Annette and Pepper Online condolences may be made at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550 glenlawn.ca

Dear Annette. I am writing you on behalf of my mother Karen, your mother's sister in Denmark. I am Karen and Johannes` youngest child. We have for some time tried to get in contact with you as my mother had not heard from your mother for a long time. We tried the address my mother had but with no luck. The other day I had a look at the internet again and sadly found out that your mother had passed on on 15. march 2012. On behalf of my mother and my Family, I would like to pay our condolences. both my mother and father are still alive. They have in fact been married 70 years on Thursday 7. October 2014. we are having a celebration for them that day. My father WHO is 95 years is not all that well. He is in a wheelchair but he still gets something out of life. My mother who is 89 years old is doing ok. They have 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who all will come to the party. That was a Little bit about our Family. we hope to be able to get in contact with you this way as we cannot find your address on the internet. We hope you will get this and that you will contact us. You can reach me on this mail address: mosedick@bbsyd.dk Many warm regards Lone Mose Entwistle - Posted by: Lone Mose Entwistle (Bodils niece and Annettes cousin from Denmark.) on: Oct 03, 2014
