ANNETTE CHAMPOUX (SYRENNE) (née PAYETTE) October 8, 1926 March 18, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the age of 85 years. Left to cherish her memory are her six children: Jacquie Thompson, Alice (Wilfrid) Legault, Darlene (Ken) Foat, Lorraine Beaudry, Bonnie (Bernard) Chabot and Gilbert (Rhonda) Syrenne; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her passing her brother, Roger (Diane) Payette sister, Odile Devloo and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Annette was predeceased by her parents Adelard and Alice, her husband Jean Noel Syrenne, her brothers and sisters: Rita, Armand, Fernand, Ronald, Lionel, Therese and her son-in-law Bill Thompson. Mom was born in Somerset, Manitoba. In her early years her simple pleasures in life were her children and her large garden, which always supplied us with jars of preserves. Mom taught her six children to work hard, be strong and never give up on anything. Later in life, she enjoyed bowling, bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thanks is extended to her caregivers at Foyer Valade and Chez Nous Supportive Housing for their compassion and care. In keeping with mom's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
