MARIA SOLODKY (nee GLUSZKO) August 29, 1922 - March 25, 2012 On Sunday, March 25, 2012 after a valiant effort in Concordia Hospital, Maria Solodky finally sleeps peacefully. She was predeceased by her husband Marion in 1990. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Jerry and Melvin, daughters-in-law, Rose Marie and Darlene; five grandchildren, Sharissa, Shanna, Jeff, Jeremy, Jayson, and great-grandchild Satia. Maria loved spending time with family and her two cats, she was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who was always there for us. Maria loved to be outside in her garden. We would like to give a special thank you to the staff of N1 South and N1 North of Concordia Hospital. We will never forget Ellen (Cora) for all of your kindness and patience, you have a special gift. Prayers will be held Sunday, April 1 at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St. at 7:00 p.m. A Divine liturgy will be held Monday, April 2 at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., Fr. Dr. Greg Zubacz officiating. Reception to follow at Wheeler Funeral Home, 211 Regent Ave. West.
