Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I am so surprised and sad to learn of Ahmad's passing. He was one of my heroes when I lived in Winnipeg in the 80's - a person who stood for justice in not only South Africa but everywhere. He was extremely broad-minded, saavy and had a delightful sense of humour. Last time I talked to him a few years ago on the phone, I wound up the conversation saying that I would try to stay out of trouble - he quippped, well don't try too hard! At 60 years of age, that was just the advice I appreciated hearing! My sincere sympathy to Zohra and all the family. • Exiled from his homeland of South Africa, Dr. Randeree worked as a representative of all South Africans in the anti-apartheid movement in Manitoba, where I also worked. His quick wit and ironic sense of humour will be sorely missed. I was recently shocked to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with Zora, Mahmood and the entire family. - Posted by: Richard Menec (colleague) on: May 16, 2012

  • I did not know Dr.Randeree but do know his daughter. I am sure he was as wonderful as she is - a living memory of a very humane and caring man - Posted by: Amanda Brightwell (Friend of Dr.Randeree's daughter) on: May 09, 2012
