HELEN CIANFLONE Peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, with her family at her side, Helen Cianflone passed away at 71 years. She was predeceased by her father and mother Leonard and Nellie Lapusniak. She leaves to mourn her husband Tommaso, her daughters Mary (Guy), Doreen (Ian), her grandchildren Jan, Corey, Jared, Mitchell and Sean, her sisters Georgie, Pat (Walter) and brother Peter (Jeanette) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Helen was born September 28, 1940, in Stuartburn, Manitoba, where she grew up on the farm. She moved to Winnipeg when she turned 18. She met Tommaso at Glesby Garments and fell in love and six months later they were married. Helen was a hairdresser for many years until she became ill in 2002. She loved travelling and loved to cook and bake for her family. She loved to do crafts, embroidery and cross stitch. She also enjoyed gardening and singing. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Reverend Father Sam Argenziano celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Angel Mausoleum, Green Acres Cemetery, No 1 Hwy. and Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Helen's memory.
