MARIE BUECHLER Peacefully with her family by her side, on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Concordia Hospital, Marie Buechler passed away at the age of 85 years. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Wally Buechler; parents Virginia and Jerome Durcharme; brothers Etienne (Steve), Harve, and David; and sisters Marceline, Veronique and Lorette (Winnie). She will be lovingly remembered by her children Gail (John) Piercy, Ken (Karen), Heather (Doug) Keenes, Chris (Sandy): grandchildren Taya, Justin (Kara), and Jamie Piercy, Kathleen and Kaitlyn Buechler, Spencer and Hannah Keenes, Nathan (Tara), Matthew and Michael Buechler; brothers Emile (Marguerite), Tom (Lorraine), and numerous other family members. Marie was a devoted mother and grandmother who was an active member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and LWML. Marie was very generous and compassionate and was extremely proud of all her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 11 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks are extended to the staff at Concordia Place and Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marie to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Ave., Winnipeg, MB. It was an honour to have known aunty Marie. She was a kind and good hearted person. I'm grateful for the times she spent with us during Grandpa Patrice and Grandma Labonne's final days.
