Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCISCO VILLATORO April 19, 1930 April 15, 2012 Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, and a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather, Francisco Villatoro at the age of 81 years. He was born in Spain, emigrating to Canada in 1967. Yayo was predeceased by his parents and two older brothers. He leaves to honour his memory, his wife and carino of 68 years Maria, his daughters Maria (Rick) and Elena (Colin), grandson Stephen (Michelle), granddaughters Rebecca and Angela, and great-grandson, Luca. Yayo's greatest love was his family Que familia mas preciosa tengo! A service will be held on Friday, April 20 at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. W. at 1:00 p.m., with interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery. The family would like to thank Valerie Pauline and all the caring staff of the Oncology Clinic at Concordia Hospital, Greg with Home Care and Richard and the doctors and nursing staff at 3E at Riverview Palliative Care, for their care, tenderness and encouragement. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Francisco Villatoro's memory to the Concordia Oncology Clinic, 1095 Concordia Ave. or Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave. Funeral Arrangements In Care Of WHEELER FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY CREMATORIUM 1800 DAY STREET 224-1525

I remember Yayo from the time I was a young boy. What I remember most about him was that he was a kind and welcoming man. He welcomed me into his home like I was his own grandson and made me feel like I was a part of his family. I will remember his warmth, his handshakes and hugs, and his funny jokes. Yayo, thank you for everything you gave in your life. I am glad your suffering is over, and I am happy that you were able to build such a beautiful life for your family. To the Villatoro family, Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. Your father was a proud man, and for good reason; you all gave him every reason to be so. He adored his wife, family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchild Luca too. He will be missed. A lot. He gave a lot to this world, he contributed to his family, his community, and he loved his country (both of them!) He was a true artisan and very skilled in his craft. He has left signs of his love in your lives and your homes. His body has gone, but he has left his life in you all. He lives on in your hearts and your memories and in the stories that you tell and re-tell. We are grateful his suffering is over, and for the gift of life that he made such good use of.
