RAYMOND DENNIS GRABSKI It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ray Grabski on April 7, 2012 at Red River Place in Selkirk, MB, with his family by his side, at the age of 72. Left to cherish his memory are Shirley, his wife of 52 years, his son Wayne (Heather), grandchildren Christopher and Jenessa, and daughter-in-law Cathy. Born September 13, 1939, in Winnipeg MB, Ray worked at CN Railway and VIA Railway for 38 years, retiring as a service manager. On July 2, 1960, Ray married the love of his life Shirley Wichert, and soon started a family. In his younger years, Ray enjoyed curling, coaching hockey, and fishing away summer days at his cottage in Lac Du Bonnet. Yuma winters, a good cigar or pipe, and sharing his acquired wisdom filled his retirement years. A gathering in honor of Ray's life will be held on May 2, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Chapel located at 1800 Day Street. Snacks and refreshments will be served. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the care givers of Red River Place, for going above and beyond their requirements, for our dearest Ray.
