Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN EDWARD CARDINAL July 5, 1934 April 21, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Husband, Dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 77 years. Allan is survived by his wife Claudette, son Calvin (Bonny), daughters; Cheryl (John), and Michelle (Gerry), his brother George, and sisters; Margaret, Jane, and Yvonne, grand-children; Carolynn, Karen, Tanya, Pamela, Jeffrey, and Corey as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and devoted friends whom he cherished dearly. Allan was predeceased by his parents Marcien and Marguerite, brothers; Bill, Maurice and Len, sisters; Irene and Virginia. When Allan was 19 years old he lost his arm in a motor vehicle accident, but he never let it slow him down. He spent most of his career working at J.M. Schneiders as head shipper/receiver until he retired at the age of 60. Dad loved spending time with his family and many friends, and in his later years discovered a love for playing darts. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff on the sixth floor and ICU units of the St. Boniface Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Allan may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Kidney Foundation of Canada. The memories I have of Uncle Allan, As kids growing up going to Aunty Jackie's and Uncle Allan's to watch whatever the sport was in season, hockey or football. And the parties. we'll never forget the good times Uncle Allan! Like Carolynn said "fun loving".
