PAULINE HOLKE (née TOMCHAK) March 8, 1944 - April 22, 2012 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Pauline Holke at the age of 68 years. Pauline passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, at the Riverview Health Centre after a long battle with cancer. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years, Brian, sons Raymond and Keith, sister Doris, brother Roger (Carol), sisters-in-law Helen Tomchak and Sharon Deitz, goddaughter Lucy Nazarchuk (Rob) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her mother Lucy and father Alec, brothers Raymond and Donald, sister Edna, brothers-in-law William Hill and Art Michaud, and nephew Michael. Pauline was raised in Badger, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg as a young woman. She worked at various jobs during her life, but the longest and most memorable was at Taché Nursing Centre. She retired from Taché Nursing Centre after 27 years of service. Nothing was more important to Pauline than her family and friends. She always enjoyed getting together and helping out when she could. We will always remember her sense of humour, which she had right to the end, her kindness and thoughtfulness. The family would like to thank Paul from Riverview Health Centre for his time and attention during Pauline's final weeks.
