I was about 4 years old when I remember Uncle Steve coming over to visit my Mom and Dad. He was always so kind, gentle, warm hearted, and always with a smile and a good word for everyone. In all these years he had not changed at all and remained one of the nicest people I have ever known. There were many happy, noisey occasions when Uncle Steve and Aunt Ev played "Hola" everyone laughing and having a good time. He was a very intelligent man who loved to discuss world events, always interested in your point of view, and asking you about how things were in your life. He always saw the bright side. We will miss you Uncle Steve and you will be in our hearts forever. GOD BLESS YOU!! Alace and Ted - Posted by: Alace Chambers (niece) on: Apr 29, 2012

It was a pleasure to play for Steve over the years with my fellow seniors. Too bad I cannot play at the Church service on Monday, because me and Hilda are on Vancouver Island visiting our daughter and see our new grandson Cairo just born 4 weeks ago. Our Condolences to Evelyn and the family. From John and Hilda Kessling - Posted by: John and Hilda Kessling (friend) on: Apr 28, 2012
