HERB POST Herb passed away April 25, 2012, at the Assiniboine Hospital, Brandon, MB, with his brother and sisters by his side. He was born a twin at Vita Hospital July 20, 1946, to Bernice and Garnet Post. Memories of Herb's early years were the love of his dog, hockey and fishing at Woodmore and Dominion City. Herb moved to Winnipeg at the age of sixteen. Being a free spirited traveler, he worked his way across Canada for a number of years. He finally settled in Brandon and was there for the last twenty-some years. He enjoyed his apartment and especially his friends that he made there. Herb was well-known for all his special phone calls to his family on their birthdays and special holidays. He was predeceased by his parents, Bernice and Garnet Post, twin Cal, brother Warren and sister-in-law Andrea. Herb will be missed by his brother Barry, sisters, Darlene (Rod), Joan (Andy), Bev (Bernie) and Wendy (Dave), all his nephews and nieces, extended family and friends. As his wishes, cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will take place at a later date. The family would like to send a special thanks to Herb's doctor and staff at the emergency unit and the Brandon Assiniboine Hospital.
