DIANA LOUISE DE BLONDE (WOOKEY)
Born: Oct 23, 1956
Date of Passing: Apr 27, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDIANA LOUISE DE BLONDE (nee WOOKEY) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Diana De Blonde on Friday, April 27, 2012, at the age of 55 years. She is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 31 years, Garry; sons Joel and Riley; daughter Karen; mother Terry; brothers Russ (Ellen) and Cal (Danielle), and their families. She was predeceased by her father Don in 2000. Diana was born in Winnipeg on October 23, 1956. She attended school at Glenlawn Collegiate and subsequently earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Winnipeg. She married her husband, Garry, in 1981. She and Garry immediately located to Ottawa where they resided for nine years, raising their young family. She then relocated back to Winnipeg with the family. Once her children were of school age, she worked at the University of Manitoba and then at the University of Winnipeg until her untimely passing. Diana was very socially conscious, and loved and cared for people. Her family and friends were always paramount in her thoughts and actions. Care of the environment was very important to her, as was her Catholic faith. She loved being at her Victoria Beach cottage where she spent many happy hours during the summer months with her family. Of great concern over the years was her battle against depression. She worked tirelessly to overcome her affliction. After many years this terrible disease overcame her and she could fight no longer. Diana, you will always be in our thoughts. You have given Garry, Joel, Riley, and Karen immense love and care, more than you can ever imagine. The spirit in your heart, the joy you spread, your immeasurable beauty, and the love you gave us will always be remembered and cherished. We miss you so much and we will always love you. In keeping with Diana's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial mass celebrating her life will be held at St. Ignatius Church (Stafford and Corydon) on Friday, May 4 at 11:00 a.m. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J.
