PRISCILLA (SAM) WROBLEWSKY (nee CHATEAU) On Tuesday, May 1, 2012, the first day of the month of the blessed Virgin Mary, Sam', 63 years, peacefully passed away and entered into eternal life. She is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sons Jason (Joy), Jeff and Michael (Amy), her twin brother Guy Chateau (Charlotte), her grandchildren Kaley, Nicholas, Maxwell, Caelan and Evan, and numerous relatives and friends. She will be joining her parents, Arthur and Augustine Chateau, and her brother Ron, who predeceased her. This beautiful soul arrived in the world on June 3, 1948, ten minutes ahead of her brother Guy. Sam (Priscilla) started her career as a hairdresser working at Bruno's. In 1970 she became a full time Mom devoting her life to caring for her boys. Mémé (as her grandchildren called her) was cherished. She loved and was so proud of each of them! Until she was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2011, she worked 32 years at Beacon Hill Lodge, where she was respected and will be remembered for her selfless service. She battled her disease with courage and faith. Thank you to Jeff who could take time off to be with his mom. The family would like to thank Evanca and Frank for nourishing Sam both spiritually and physically, Neville for his unconditional love and generosity and Pat for being Sam's best friend in good times and in bad. Thank you to family and friends who supported her through prayers, cards and flowers. Special thanks to Dr. Meyer, the personnel at St. Boniface Hospital, Manitoba CancerCare, Riverview Health Centre, to the palliative care and home care nurses. She was treated with compassion and dignity. Respecting Sam's wishes, cremation has taken place and Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., at Christ the King Church, 847 St. Mary's Road. Rite of Committal will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Bvld. Flowers may be sent in her name to the residents at Beacon Hill Lodge, or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Sam to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Percy (Sam) was a kind and loving soul, and a great mother. I'm sure she will be terribly missed by her kids and their families. We lost contact many years ago, which we truly regret. May she rest in peace. Our condolences to all her family and friends. Life is so short!!! - Posted by: Wayne and Gwen Leeson (ex sister and ex brother in law) on: May 07, 2012

  • I only met Priscilla; I knew her as Percy, a few times, but on first meeting I liked her very much. I've often thought of her over the years, wishing we could reconnect, but unfortunately did nothing about that; and am saddened by her death. I'm thinking Jason, Jeff and Michael are my second cousins. My sincere condolence on the loss of your beautiful inside and outside mother. - Posted by: Joyce Ward (ex-cousin-in-law and friend) on: May 05, 2012

  • What a lovely lady. Sam used to come in to the flower shop where I worked to admire all the flowers and to buy some to take home to enjoy. She was always so happy and friendly. Rest in peace Sam. - Posted by: Kim (friend) on: May 05, 2012
