PHILIP YUE WING YEE September 1, 1948 - May 2, 2012 Peacefully, Philip Yue Wing Yee passed away at Riverview Health Centre on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. Now, he is resting in God's loving arms. Philip was predeceased by his father Yuen Ark. Left to cherish forever Philip's memory are his wife Mei-Ying; his mother Fung Ha; his children Jonathan (Suzanne), Jason, Justin (Lisa), and Natasha; grandchildren Katelyn, Kyra, Emma, Izaac and Jayden; siblings Marion (Mario), Walter, Cathy (Adam); niece Skye. Philip was born on September 1, 1948 in Canton, China. He immigrated with his sister Marion and brother Walter to Winnipeg in 1965 to be with his parents. He obtained a masters degree in Nuclear Physics in the 1970s. Being the eldest son, Philip helped start the family business of Yee's Grocery. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He had a clever sense of humour. He was passionate about photography and enjoyed science fiction. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. with viewing one hour prior to service. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre, 3 East for their care given to Philip.
