ANNETTE H. DELAQUIS (nee LAVACK) January 18, 1917 - May 4, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Annette Delaquis, on Friday, May 4, 2012, at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 95 years. Annette was predeceased by her husband, Maurice in 1990, her parents Georges and Marie-Louise (nee Lesage) in 1979 and 1976 respectively, as well as many brothers and sisters. Annette is survived by her son Robert (Jen); daughters: Irma (Al), Evlyn, Marie (Francis); grandchildren: Carole, Michael, and Stephen Delaquis, Corinne and Patrick Fraser, Alec, Nigel, and Roxie Leflour, and Tiffany, and Annette Thébault; great-grandchildren: Kylie, Thea, Taylor, Zoe, Brendan, Eric, Camryn, and Jack. She is also survived by her sister Emma, brothers Georges Jr. and Raynald (Beatrice) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was a teacher and taught in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba, concluding her career at Marion School in St. Boniface, MB. Mom loved singing, dancing, and her T.V. wrestling, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and last and foremost her Roman Catholic faith. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Boniface Basilica, with Fr. Marcel Damphousse officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Aunt Annette was known to my family as Aunt ‘Happy”. Being in her company was always an upbeat, positive experience. Annette was a devoted wife, mother and daughter. She nursed her dad, Georges Lavack with loving care and devotion when his dear wife, Marie Louise died. Annette was the ideal wife and helpmate to husband Maurice and a dedicated mother and grandmother to her cherished offspring. She was quite the lady, kind, generous, nurturing and she will be missed by all fortunate enough to have been in her orbit. Condolences to all the cousins, from Paulette Lavack and family - Posted by: Paulette Lavack (niece) on: May 08, 2012

  • The strongest and gentlest person I had the luxury of knowing. It was a privilege to have such a wonderful grandmother. Love you always and forever. - Posted by: Nigel (Grandson) on: May 07, 2012
