DOLORES SALISI TRINIDAD March 23, 1923 - May 15, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dolores Trinidad. She peacefully passed away on May 15, 2012 at the age of 89, at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Dolores was predeceased by her parents Donato and Maria Rosita, husband Lorenzo, children Nomeriano and Imelda, and siblings Petra, Nasario and Melquides. Left to forever cherish Dolores' memories are her sons, German (Feliza), Cipriano Gary (Josepina) and Cecilio (Brenda), daughters Linda Rosales, Lucita Surla (Boy), Dorotea Portic, Teresita Larin (Junior), Felicidad Amable, and Delia Tabuzo (Joey), 26 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren as well as her brother Narding, and sisters Genara Malabanan and Melitona Panganiban. Dolores was born in Wawa Tanauan, Batangas, got married on May 20, 1940. After our father's death in 1986 she decided to move to Winnipeg in 1988 with Lucita's family. She enjoyed travelling, cooking babysitting, planting vegetables and farming. She was a good example of Love (1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.). Because of her very strong faith and fear to dishonour God, we were inspired by her wisdom, hard work, strength and determination in life. She endured any sufferings and no hard tasks that she could not handle. Surely she will be missed but always remembered and inspired by her good works. Viewing (lamay) will be held on Thursday, May 24, and Friday, May 25 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. at 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26 at St. John Cantius Church, 846 Burrows Avenue with Rev. Fr. Yolando Gamallo, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Glen Lawn Memorial Garden at 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and support.
