ROBERT SUNKA It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Sunka on June 10, 2012 at 80 years of age. Left to cherish his memory and celebrate his life is his sister Eileen Desrochers, his son Darrell Sunka, his ex wife Dorothy Sunka, his friend Leslie Maxwell as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Mike Sunka and his son Tommy. Robert volunteered as Santa at Deer Lodge Centre and at many churches. He was an active member of St. John Brebeuf Parish, St. Mark's and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He was also a member of Shriners Khartum Temple. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Vital Catholic Church at 1629 Pembina Hwy, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to CancerCare Manitoba. The joy and sense of caring that you brought into our lives will not be forgotten as these things will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be touched by your kindness, friendship, generosity, sense of humour and love. You will be deeply missed!
