  • To lose one parent is hard enough but to lose so close together is the absolute worse. I will remember the times that our parents spent together at the German Hall and Camp Neustadt and all the parties they had together. I will also remember the time when we stayed at the beach and my parents went home and your mom took me in for the week. Of course, I got sick and you mom took care of me. When your parents were in charge of the dance group for the Treue Husar, your mom was always ready for anything when it came to us dancers. She was a great woman but she was lonely for your dad. Just think that they are together in each others arms again where they wanted to belong. My heart goes out to you Angela and Gerald and the rest of the family. They were a great couple. • Gerald and Angela, and family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of both your parents. My childhood memories are filled with both of you and your mom and dad. Times at the "Bus" and Cabin are ones I will never forget. As well as all the fun we had at the German Club and on our dance trips. I also lost my dad this year on May 13, so I am sure our Dad's met on the way to heaven and talked about our younger years - they would definitely have a lot to talk about. I will be away this next week but I will be thinking of you both. My sympathies to you both. - Posted by: Allison Schmidt (nee Audrain) (Childhood friend of Angela) on: Jun 28, 2012
