Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) VOGEN (nee SAWCHUK) Suddenly on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Concordia Hospital Betty passed away peacefully at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her Mother and Father, Husband Carl (Jim) Vogen, Sister Helen, Jenny and Brother Dave and Granddaughter Lindsay. Betty was born and raised in Selkirk, Manitoba where she met and married her husband Jim. They moved to East St. Paul where they raised their family and she lived until her passing. She was employed for a number of years at Loblaw's and then Westfair Foods (Superstore) until her retirement. In her earlier years, she enjoyed gardening at the family residence. Betty spent many enjoyable vacations and weekends at her cottage located in Beaver Creek Provincial Park on Lake Winnipeg. She would spend many hours carrying on a conversation, sitting on her deck, just relaxing and looking out onto the Lake while enjoying a coffee or her favourite beverage. She was a True Blue Bomber Fan having been a season ticket holder and followed them every season. She truly enjoyed her Weekend shopping trips to both Grand Forks and Fargo. She is survived by her children Blair (Linda), Carol Schoen (Arthur), Sandra Tell (Steve), Marilyn Furutani (Rob) and Tracy Vogen. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. At her request, there will be no formal service. There will be a private viewing for family with cremation to follow. Interment for her and her husband Jim will take place at a later date in Selkirk, Manitoba.
