AGNES (NAN) PURSLOW (nee FERGUSON) July 29, 1913- June 28, 2012 Agnes (Nan) Purslow passed away at Misericordia Place on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the age of 98 years. Having lived the majority of her life in Winnipeg she will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. Nan was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Herbert Merton Purslow; her two daughters, Noreen Smith (Don), and Dale Lamirande (Roger); and will be sorely missed by her two sons, Bruce (Elis) and Neil (Frances). She will also be missed by her ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Nan grew up in a large family in trying times. Predeceased by her mother at an early age, she became mother and care giver to the original members of the Ferguson family. Upon meeting her true love, she married in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1941 and then settled down in Fort Garry to raise her four children. Upon retirement, Nan and Mert liked to travel throughout North America to enjoy the different sites and cultures. When they weren't travelling they were avid square dancers, which kept them active. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn on Monday, July 9, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Nan's memory to the charity of your choice.
