I just happened to goggle Ed today to see where he was and what he was up to. I was shocked and deeply saddened to read of his passing. Even though I haven’t been in contact for a long time we go back a long time. I talk about him quite often as one of the most unforgettable persons I’ve every met. We met taking karate in Winnipeg and connected right away even though I was about 7 years younger. We hung out together and went every where. In the early 70's we went to the Bahamas and from there we ended up in London, Ontario. I ended up staying here and he left for Europe. We hooked up years later when he was living in Queenston. He put me and my family up in his home for the weekend and we spent an unforgettable weekend with him. Unfortunately that was the last time I saw him. I went by a few years later and he had moved to Europe. My deepest sympathy to his wife and kids. - Posted by: Edward Milani (Friend from the 70’s) on: Sep 12, 2020

I met Ed on Langkawi Island in the Andaman sea of Malaysia. We were staying in the same hotel. Since we were both N. American we shared an instant affinity. I stayed on Langkawi for 6 weeks. Ed and I had dinner 30 nights in a row watching the most amazing sunsets, night after night. I've never done that with another human being. This was just one year before he died. He taught me many things over that month, the least of which was to stand for what you believe in. When I heard of his sickness and passing, I was deeply saddened that the lessons he graciously gave me, would not be continued. I am not sure what happens after death, but am certain it is more than just going from dust to dust. Ed is digging it the most and finding ways to leverage his experience in ways we will never know. Blessings Ed. Keep me posted if you find a way! - Posted by: Hari Khalsa (Friend) on: Dec 22, 2014

I remember Ed from the BFGoodrich store in St. Catherine's, then St. David's where my dad, Harold, revamped Greystone Manor. He was a good friend to our family always. He would call mom, Leona to say he was coming for a visit and 'can you make some of your Famous ribs, Leona? ". I am sorry to hear of his passing and hope Jeannete will feel free to contact me when she is in the area. Blessings. - Posted by: Catherie Johnson Wiltshire (Friend) on: Mar 26, 2014

I worked with Ed in Florida. I found him an interesting and honorable friend. Once he approached me about some money I owed him. I, somewhat embarrassed, explained that I was broke. He whipped out his checkbook and wrote me a check for a large sum of money. That was Ed. I greatly admired him. I would like to have said hello to him one last time. - Posted by: Michael Miller (friend, business associate) on: Aug 05, 2013

Uncle Eddie was a man that was larger than life.. It's hard to believe he suddenly is gone - saying goodbye at his grave was tough but seeing my nana "hold" her son one more time was heartbreaking. Hopefully we will all have peace now that he is back in Toronto where we can visit often. Love you forever - Cammy - Posted by: Cammy (His favorite niece :)) on: Jul 15, 2012

To all the family my deepest sympathy on the passing of Edward. Although I cannot be there in person I am there in thoughts. Aunt Blanche you are especially in my heart today and know it will be a very difficult day for you, but thankfully your family are by your side.
