Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILY GERWING (nee BILINSKI) 1933 - 2012 Emily Gerwing passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the age of 79 years. Emily is predeceased by her husband Severin Gerwing, brothers Eddie and Carl Bilinski, and parents Raymond and Stella Bilinski. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Greg (Lorraine), Chris (Lucianne Anthony), Kurt (Brenda), Garth (Laura Huebert), and Patricia; her grandchildren: Travis Gerwing, Shallen Gerwing, Theo Gerwing, Delaney Gerwing, Kristen Schween, Jamaka Gerwing, Emma Schmidt, and Ben Schmidt; her great-grandchildren: Ela Williams and Drake Johnson; her siblings: Orest and Ron Bilinski, and Stella (Howard) Noble. Emily will be laid to rest at the Krasne Church Cemetery in her native Saskatchewan, in conjunction with a future interment ceremony. Emily will be sadly missed and never forgotten. I'm so sorry to here about Auntie Emily, she was a very nice person and I know that sounds kind of strange cause we rarely saw each other but I did have a chance to get to know her a bit once when she came to visit Dad and I was the only one living with him at the time. We had some nice long chats and I found her to be a very sweet person. I think our birthdays were the same day, April 17, and she would send me a birthday card after that for awhile. And for some reason I've always liked her even when we were kids and had those rare occasions of getting together. I think it was her laugh, I loved her laugh. I also enjoyed reading her annual letters, it was the first thing I did when we went to Dads for xmas. She will be missed.
