YVETTE FREYNET (née BONIN) After giving it her all against her battle with breast cancer on Thursday July 12, 2012, at the age of 83, Yvette Freynet passed away at the Ste-Anne Hospital. Leaving to cherish her memory are her two children, Claude and Nicole (Victor Funk); her six grandchildren, Angèle (Philippe Jolicoeur), René, Karine, Alixe, Caleb, Cristopher; her five great-grandchildren, Keanan, Timothy, Elizabeth, Jacob and Katia; her brothers and sisters, Lorraine Lambert, Roland (Wanda), Denis (Jane), Aline Fournier, Sr. Lucille, Father Edouard, Ernest (Lise), Marina (Jean Foucart), Reynald (Susan), Alain (Elise), Laurence (Mike); her Freynet in-laws as well as many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Yvette was predeceased by her beloved husband Léo; her parents Jean and Georgeline, and her brother Lucien. The eldest of her family, Yvette was born on October 26, 1928. She was a woman of great faith, conviction and character, courageous and compassionate. She made many pots of soup and canning to share with those in need or with family and friends (and her pickles were second to none!). She loved music and was the #1 fan of Léo, Nicole, the kids and Ministere Jeunesse and traveled everywhere she could to hear them sing. She kept her good sense of humour and her love of life until the end and she was a great example to all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Hôpital Ste-Anne Hospital as well as Dr. Richard Duval for their compassion and exceptional care; to the Palliative Care volunteers Bernice, Lorraine and Yvonne; to sisters Rioux and Forest; and all who gave their support, prayers and encouragement to mom and to our family. Funeral mass will be celebrated by her brother and godson Father Edouard Bonin at the Roman Catholic Church in Ste-Anne, Manitoba on Tuesday, July 17 at 11:00 a.m. with music by Ministere Jeunesse and eulogy beginning at 10:15 a.m. Interment of Yvette's cremated remains will take place in the LaBroquerie parish cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to the Hôpital Ste-Anne Hospital Fund. Je t'aime comme le ciel et la terre...
