  • wow. I just found out about this at a Carnie convention in Florida from the Mills Brothers. Sad news. Mike was like a big brother to me too. He took me in and gave me a place to stay when I had no where to go. He influenced a lot of things in my life. We had a lot of good times together both on the road and at home. He taught me a lot about music and life. He was very wise. He was also very caring. Although I left Winnipeg a long time ago, I would drop in when I was transiting through. I think of him often. I will miss him big time. RIP Scatman. You were my brother. - Posted by: Dan McLaren (Long Time Friend) on: Feb 09, 2014

  • Mike was a father figure / big brother to me during my impressionable teenage years ... he always kept his eye out for me ... as a protector and a provider ... bless your heart Mike .. you had a big kind heart and you were a lovable happy soul ... sending love and light to you as you travel through the ethers ... blessings on your journey home. - Posted by: Nancy Hillis (high school friend .... years ago ) on: Aug 16, 2012

  • I have known Mike for more than 40 years, He worked for my late uncles carnival and then worked with my late brothers carnival. I worked with Mike for a few years with the carnival, shared a trailer with him. Great guy to work with and for. Mike loved to eat, he really liked my spaghetti & meat sauce. Mike I will miss you. See you at a later date. Say hi to all the carnies . - Posted by: Kim Kennedy (Friend / ex CoWorker) on: Aug 05, 2012
