John was the loving husband of Diane and amazing father to son Doug (Nikki), Daughter Cheryl, Son Kevin (Jill) and son-in-law Brent Cooney. He was a devoted grandfather to Ashley, Tessa, Isabella and Christian. John came from a wonderful family of twelve. He is survived by brothers Albert (Elsie), Nestor, Mike (Henrietta), Jarvis (Eila), Lawrence (Barbara), sisters Olga Toews, twin sister Helen (Peter) Chubaty, brother-in-law Ken Douglas, sister-in-law Elsie and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Mary, Parents Nick and Verna, brothers Bill and Nick, sisters Lucy Mitchell and Sonia Douglas, sister-in-law Leona, brother-in-law Sid Toews. John was a kind and gentle person. He was generous with his love and time. If anyone needed help he was there, often putting his own projects on hold. He was a very hard worker and worked at Northern Blowers for over 35 years. We would like to thank Dr. Brian Sharkey, Dr. Chykowski and the nursing staff at the Victoria Hospital for all of their compassionate care they gave to John and his family.
